The concept of “weird” is outdated and a vestige of older times

Its no wonder almost 50 percent of marriages end in divorce. Girls literally put on makeup and costumes to go out. Guys wear button ups when they would most likely rather be wearing a cutoff, and spend obscene amounts of money they don’t have, to buy drinks for girls who are probably just looking to get free drinks.

To put it simply, no one is being themselves.

If everyone was to go out and do whatever they fuck well pleased on the weekends, the people you ended up meeting and interacting with would be the people who really should be your friends, party partners, significant others, and whoever the fuck else you meet on the weekends.

Well why doesn’t everybody just do what they fuck well please? Because of the irrational fear of being “weird”.

The idea of “weird” necessitates the presence of an “in” and an “out” group, of a cool and a not cool, of a normal and a strange. Back in simpler times it was somewhat plausible for the social ecosystem to divide itself along this straightforward line. Well I have a newsflash for you, there are 7 billion people in the world now and tons and tons and tons of SHIT. And I say shit because that is the best way I can describe how much SHIT is out there.

Different sexual orientations

Different places to live

Different foods to eat

Different technologies to use

Different fetishes

Different hobbies to enjoy

Different pets to own

tons and tons of different SHIT. Really the only person I would consider weird is a person who is considered weird by nobody else, because in that case, you are probably just a mindless overly self conscious robot.

Everyone feels the pull of their particular preference in “shit” everyday, but because of the irrational fear of being “weird” remain bland and unhappy with what they end up choosing for themselves.
